This year Gary Ashton was inducted into the prestigious RE/MAX Chairman's Club in recognition of his team's 2007 sales which totalled nearly $20 million. The company's sales placed them among the top five RE/MAX Elite teams in Nashville, and top ten RE/MAX teams in Tennessee. But for Ashton, the numbers aren't that important.

"The recognition is great, but I think the general public doesn't care about the rankings. At the end of the day, people work with people because they like them."

Ashton believes that his people-first attitude is part of what's helped him attract a strong team. His company, the Ashton Real Estate Group, includes ten Realtors with past experience in everything from medicine to military. They partner with a large network of industry professionals in finance, insurance, and construction to provide full-service to clients. Ashton also sits on the advisory board for one of Tennessee's largest home building firms and maintains three websites focused on Nashville real estate.
